New Resident Evil: Deadly Silence Info

RE:DS will make use of both screens, (No way!) with the bottom screen displaying most of the action, and the top screen displaying your stats and a map of the area. To determine how much life you have left, you’ll have to look at the background color of the top screen. For instance, if it’s red, you’d better run. As with previous Resident Evil games, the map will only display the areas you’ve been through, unless you’ve gotten a full map of the area.

The touch screen and possibly the microphone will be implemented in this game. Puzzles would make use of the stylus, with Nintendo Dream showing off a new puzzle involving a record player, according to IGN. IGN also said that Nintendo Dream hinted at using the stylus to wipe blood off the screen, and using the microphone to give mouth-to-mouth to other characters.

The stylus will also be used for knife battles in the game, during which the game automatically switches to first person view at certain point in the game, and you have to use the stylus to slash at oncoming zombies. After you’ve finished the battle, the game will go right back to regular Resident Evil view. Nintendo Dream also stated that the game will be multiplayer for up to four players. We do not yet know whether this would be co-op play, deathmatch type battles, or something else.

This game does not have a release date yet, but people are expecting it to be out in time for the anniversary of the original, next year. Stay tuned to N-Next for more info.
