New screenshots from John Woo’s Stranglehold
If you’re a Hong Kong movie fan and just can’t get enough of John Woo‘s gun-pointing, scarf-wearing, shades-sporting heroes, then we’d recommend that you get yourself a copy of the game that he’s directing, Stranglehold. Bound for a first quarter 2007 release, Stranglehold will be released on both the Playstation 3 and theXbox 360. It focuses on the story of our police inspector hero as he goes about defeating gangs and mafias. The hero is played by (or at least depicted as) Woo’s industry buddy, Chow Yun Fat.
A third-person action and adventure shoot ’em up game, it is meant to play as if you were actually watching one of Woo’s movie, so the Chinese director’s trademark elements are expected to show up in this game, one way or the other (as if the gun-toting-inches-away-from-each other bit wasn’t enough proof of that).
While we’re eagerly waiting for this game to come out, here’s some screenshots for now.
