New screenshots from MLB 2K7
After learning a few lessons from some of the issues that plagued MLB 2K6, 2K Sports has given the latest iteration in their MLB franchise a complete overhaul, retaining what worked and dropping what didn’t.
Quite a few technical improvements have also been thrown in. For example, the baserunning issues in MLB 2K6 have been addressed, and now players will find a runner moving on the screen via a transparent overlay, with bases appearing as he nears them.
Other features from the previous game, like Franchise mode and GM Career mode, have gotten minor tweaks as well. Even more attention has been paid to the little details like players’ accessories, equipment preferences, and batting rituals this time around, making Major League Baseball 2K7 as close as it can get to the real thing – as you can see from the images below, courtesy of IGN.
Major League Baseball 2K7 is slated for a March 5 release date in the U.S.
