Activision and Soundgarden are hooking up next month for a special piece of DLC for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The first new (relatively speaking) Soundgarden album in over a decade, ‘Telephantasm: A Retrospective’, is slated to become day one DLC for the upcoming Guitar Hero entry.

The 12-song CD will be also packed with the first million units shipped in the US. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock hits retail on September 23, which means the album will hit a week before its official retail release.

Copies of the game that come with the Telephantasm CD will also include download vouchers for the DLC version.
