New Tomb Raider movie dependant on success of Legend

According to MTV the third Tomb raider movie is currently on hold despite the fact that Angelina Jolie is still signed on to do it as part of a three movie contract. It seems that Paramount are unwilling to make a third movie at this time because of the failure of the last game and poor turnout for the second (and in my opinion vastly inferior) movie. Sources say that they are waiting for Lara to become hot property again and the future of the movies may depend on the new Tomb Raider game “Legend”. If the game becomes the hit that many expect it will be, there is a very good chance that the third movie will get a green light. But until then the third movie will remain on the shelf.
