Newfound updates for Lost Planet
If you’ve been reading up on our coverage of Lost Planet, you probably know already that Capcom is cooking up new multiplayer maps (which we even got a sneak peek at) as well as tons of other updates which are all prepped for release on March 9.
So in preparation for those maps, Capcom has released tons of new updates for the game’s online multiplayer. These were originally scheduled to come around on March 9 as well but we don’t think anyone’s complaining about this early release, yes? Anyway, the following updates should fix the bugs and glitches that users have reported:
- Country flag and connection strength icons added
- Icon indicating who is speaking added
- Names of dropped players now grayed out in post-match results
- Points for a Fugitive killing a Hunter reduced by 75%
- Games where network conditions are bad enough to cause severe lag are now prevented
- Reload time no longer shortened by initiating a taunt (a popular exploit)
Just an important note though, users should download this update before they can play the game’s multiplayer. And as for those maps we’ve been longing to get, they should come around Xbox Live Marketplace pretty soon too so stay tuned.
