News on patch 2.2: Would Orcs ever get their old shoulders back?

After Hortus said that “Orc shoulders will be fixed with the release of the next major patch,” all the Orcs in the World of Warcraft were overjoyed to hear that the day the /rofls and /lols would stop would soon come. But the infamous graphics bug which reduced the size of the Orc’s shoulders hasn’t been fixed yet. However, a recent conversation between a GM and a player brings welcome news about the issue.

Coralkil from the Agewynn server recently posted screenshots of his chat with GM Aarvendacky about the shoulder bug. During the conversation, Aarvendacky did mention that the developers were doing something about the bug and that a fix would be available in the next major content patch. Drysc also confirmed that the fix was among the changes in the Public Test Realm (PTR).

I just jumped in the latest 2.2 build to confirm that the fix that went in last night appears to be working. The next PTR update should include the fix if you want to check it out for yourselves.

This is great news for a lot of Orc players in WoW, as Aarvendacky did confirm that 2.2 would be the next major content patch. It may not be immediate, but at least we know it’s there. We look forward to this bug getting fixed, and for Orcs to look mean and nasty again.
