Widescreen owners of the Xbox 360 version of BioShock will finally be getting the game they originally envisioned when they first bought it. 2K Elizabeth, one of 2K Games‘ forum administrators, recently informed players in the forums that the widescreen patch they’d been waiting for will be coming in the next title update.
For those who don’t quite remember the widescreen problems currently inherent in BioShock, here’s a quick refresher. It was found out by some savvy Xbox 360 players that the field of vision remains the same regardless of the screen type you’re using. In this case, widescreen users see less than they’re supposed to if they’re playing the game.
According to the quote from 2K Elizabeth, the patch is supposed to come soon to relieve widescreen players of their problems. They may have finished the game by now, but at least they’ll be able to replay it the way it was meant to be played when the game comes out.
