Next Transcode 360 Version Will Feature AC3 Support
Just a few days after the release of Transcode 360 Beta 3.1, developer Albert Griscti-Soler blogged about an exciting discovery while developing the DVD ISO and VIDEO_TS streaming.
“Little did I know that in developing DVD ISO and VIDEO_TS streaming IÂ’d end up with a practical solution for handling 5.1 audio. So along with a number of other goodies, IÂ’m pleased to report that the next build will once again feature AC3 support.”
For the uninitiated, AC3 is a way of compressing audio signals to produce Dolby Digital 5.1. surround sound. It is also referred to as AC3 Codec.
That’s definitely music to our ears.
