NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams to directly interact with Wii Weather Channel
Sega Japan has just announced that upcoming Nintendo Wii game NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will be the first game to directly interact with the console’s Weather Channel. Aside from mimicking the current weather of the players’ location, the system will also have an effect on the title’s AI.
The creatures will behave in response to the weather. Since you are fighting against nightmares in this title, we imagine that your enemies will be a bit wiser and more dangerous during cloudy skies. This is just a slight change but one can expect tremendous impact to the gameplay experience.
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is expected to hit North American retail shelves on December 18. Fans in Europe, on the other hand, may get it by January next year.

Accordingly, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will be utilizing the free Wii module for its “My Dream” area. This is where players will be able to communicate and interact with the game’s creatures (A-Life). Like what we mentioned, this specific area will register the same weather of the place you’ve input in the weather channel.
