Nik Nak to develop Wii’s Ology games
We’ve reported in the past that Kuju Entertainment and Codemasters‘ preparations for bringing Templar Publishing’s Ology books to the Nintendo Wii are just about complete. Now, the pair has laid one of the last bricks by announcing that Guildford’s NiK NaK studio will be in charge of development. Details follow after the jump.
We’ve reported in the past that Kuju Entertainment and publisher Codemasters are joining forces to bring child-friendly games to the Nintendo Wii in the form of Dragonology and Wizardology. The two are now announcing that Guildford-based developers NiK NaK have been chosen to bring life to the fantasy worlds to come.
“We are delighted to be working with Codemasters on the Dragonology and Wizardology games for Wii” comments Studio Head Kevin Holloway. “The readers of the Templar books are exactly the target audience that NiK NaK’s games set out to entertain.”
Both the Dragonology and Wizardology action titles are based on the popular book series of the same name from Templar Publishing. Together, some 15 million copies have been sold by the Ology franchise brands.
Dragonology will be the first to be released on the Wii. Fans can expect it to hit shelves by the second half of 2008.
