With Wii and DS sales continuing to soar, it’s no wonder more and more games are being announced for these two platforms. Case in point: Nikitova Games has just announced two new IP titles currently in development for both the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
The first title is CCTV. Players assume the role of a surveillance officer using Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and police cars to catch petty criminals and most-wanted criminals alike. It’s a game of observation where the player’s aim is to clean up the streets of his city by finding his suspects and nailing them.
I admit, this game’s premise made me think of the infamous Night Trap, but it does look pretty promising. Aside from the usual single-player gameplay mode, it also features two-player co-op and competitive modes.
The second game, Mind Games, is another title in the vein of the popular Brain Training games. It’s a collection of 21 mini-games based on the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (CANTAB) of “computeribrainized” tests developed in Cambridge University 500 institutes and hospitals in 50 countries worldwide.
Both CCTV and Mind Games are scheduled for release in 2008. Both games will have DS and Wii versions.
