Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PlayStation 3 confirmed
A mag scan has confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 2 is finally coming to the PlayStation 3. This version may be late in coming, but it looks like it may be worth the wait. The game’s going to be an upgraded version of the Xbox 360 game, with a new weapon, a new boss, and even a new playable character.

A mag scan has confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 2 is finally coming to the PlayStation 3, dubbed Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. This version may be late in coming, but it looks like it may be worth the wait. The game’s going to be an upgraded version of the Xbox 360 game.
The mag’s in Japanese, but here are some translations (thanks to GameTrailers):
- It will be an upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 2 (not a direct port)
- Set to release in autumn 2009
- The magazine will be reporting new elements in coming issues
- Producer and director: Yosuke Hayashi (From Sigma)
- Development: Team Ninja
Some of the new features for the PlayStation 3 version are:
- New weapon – spiked hammer “Genma”
- New giant boss battles not in the 360 version
- New playable character – female ninja Ayane
No word on an international release though, and since this is a Japanese mag, I’m guessing they’re going to get it first.
