If you’re like most people in Japan and prefer the D-Cable to component, then maybe you’d like to get a Wii D-Cable [RVL-A-KD(JPN)]. They both deliver basically the same picture quality, though, and allow for progressive output. Pricing is set at 2,500 Yen (US $21).
Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about the people who prefer component, hence the Wii Component Cable [RVL-A-KC(JPN)]. Like the D-Cable, pricing for this one is set at 2,500 Yen (US $21).
Nintendo has also decided to enter the SD card market with the SD Memory Card 512 MB [RVL-A-SD1(JPN)]. It’s essentially the same as any old SD card. The only difference is that these babies have the Nintendo and Wii logos. For 512MB, these SD cards are a bit pricey, having a price tag of 3,800 Yen (US $32).
The Wii already has built-in Wi-Fi, but those who prefer a wired connection can always get the Wii LAN Adapter [RVL-A-UE(JPN)] for 2,800 Yen (US $23). This USB LAN adapter is set for release sometime in December.
Unless otherwise noted, all these accessories will be made available on the Wii’s launch date. Nintendo Japan also announced today the Japanese pricing details for the Wii Remote (RVL-A-CW) and Nunchuck controller (RVL-A-FW) as well as the Classic Controller (RVL-A-RW). The Wii Remote will carry a price tag of 3,800 Yen (US $32) while both the Nunchuck and the Classic Controller will go for 1,800 Yen (US $15) each. All three will be available on December 2.
