Nintendo job post for Wii USB devices: hope for a hard drive?

Nintendo has a rather intriguing job posting up at their website. The job involves the creation of USB devices for the Wii. Could this finally mean an external hard drive for the Wii? We can only wish. More in the full article.

Clamors for an external hard drive for the Nintendo Wii have been around for a good long while now, and rumors have always been proved unfounded. Still, we can always hope. With that in mind, this update feels a little like dangling a bone in front of a hungry Nintendog.

Nintendo has an intriguing job posting up on their website. The posting describes a job that has to do with creating USB devices for the Wii. The job posting lists this duty for the post:  “Creating and executing a test plan for WiiÂ’s USB devices.”

Now of course, we don’t know if this actually means an external hard drive. That’s just speculation, and wishful thinking. Still, even if it doesn’t yield support for the hard drive, it might prove to be something just as interesting, like a Dualshock 3? We kid.
