For one, some players are reporting that their imported copy having trouble loading some of its content, with others reporting that the game just crashes.

For their part, Nintendo stated that they haven’t received any reports regarding the aforementioned problems. The company further clarified that the problems that were reported for Mario Kart Wii may not be the same as those that affected Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

As the company explained, SSBB‘s read errors were due to its double-layer disc, while Mario Kart Wii use a single-layer disc. That’s the latest info we have regarding the issues being reported for Mario Kart Wii.
