Nintendo Skips Tokyo Game Show
The Tokyo Game Show is the second largest gaming event of the year, second only to E3. As usual, it seems Nintendo is skipping the event. The list of exhibitors was updated again today and Nintendo is not on that list. Both Sony and Microsoft will have a floor presence alongside 132 other companies. This is the largest TGS ever in its 10-year run with 1,433 booths. But I really have to say that Nintendo will surely be missed.
However, those who remember last year’s TGS might also recall that Nintendo stole the show without being on the floor at all. Satoru Iwata was the keynote speaker of the event and in his keynote speech he unveiled the controller for what was then known as the Nintendo Revolution.
So don’t give up hope Nintendo fans. Just don’t expect to see much in the way of games. It’s a shame considering it would have been a good chance fro Nintendo to build upon the momentum gained at E3.
