Nintendo UK: no Wii or DS price cuts before Christmas
Despite ramping up supplies for the DS and the Wii for the holidays, and despite the Xbox 360 Arcade now being cheaper than the Wii, it seems Nintendo still won’t be introducing a price cut for either one in time for Christmas. What a surprise. Next they’ll be saying they’ll make another Mario game.

This news comes from Nintendo’s UK boss David Yarnton, following the press conferences Nintendo held in Japan and in North America. Yarnton explains the decision not to cut the price saying: “In terms of NintendoÂ’s business, we feel that Wii and Nintendo DS already represent great value for money.”
In case you missed it, he just said that they’re still selling like hotcakes, so they don’t need a price cut.
