Here are a couple of new screenshots for the recently announced Nintendo Wii video game Sky Crawlers from Project Aces. The game is based on the Warner Bros. Japan animated movie and a novel series with the same name.

While there are still no available information regarding the story line, it is believed that Sky Crawlers will stray away from the novels and the movies. The plot, however, will stay almost the same – an alternate post-WW II scenario featuring a group of young pilots.

Regarding gameplay, it is needless to reiterate that Project Aces’ game will fully utilize the Wiimote and Nunchuk controllers. The developer said that the Nunchuk will serve as the flight yoke while the other control will provide players with throttle control.

Sky Crawlers is also slated for a PlayStation 2 release. Both platform holders Nintendo and Sony as well as Project Aces have yet to announce an exact release date and if the game will have an international release.
