Nintendo World Store lets you meet-and-greet the Wii at the Big Apple

Like pigeons flocking to a loving bag lady with bread crumbs, some of you Nintendo fans might be hitting the Big Apple come this weekend. The Nintendo World Store at Rockefeller Plaza is holding a special event to meet-and-greet the Wii prior to its launch.

They’ve already set up 12 kiosks where you can get a look-see of games such as Excite Truck and Wii Sports. If you haven’t been there yet, you might want to visit. If not, on November 4, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., there’s all the more reason to come.

The store is offering prizes for some lucky visitors, but as to what, we’re not entirely sure. They hint at a “Wii giveaway” (click the pic to read the details), but we don’t know if they’re planning to give an actual Wii console, or just something Wii-related.

In any case, there’s still the demo kiosks, so if you really don’t get any prizes, you’ll go home feeling like a winner. And who knows? They might reveal “the big sWii-cret” during this event.
