No M or T-rated games for Xbox Game Room

Instead of having to go through the tedious process of having each Xbox Game Room title rated by the ESRB, Microsoft had the rating board classify the Game Room itself. By doing so, the ESRB has given the entire lounge an Everyone 10+ rating, and as such, no games rated Teen or Mature can be played in Microsoft’s virtual arcade joint.

On the plus side, Microsoft will be able to send games quicker into the Game Room without them taking time to be reviewed by the ESRB. On the downside, that’s gonna be one wholesome arcade place, devoid of the more violent arcade favorites such as Mortal Kombat and Metal Slug.

 

Whether or not the ESRB will monitor the games going into the Game Room is unclear. As it is, though, would you even turn to the Game Room for you fix of blood and gore?
