In the world of fictional weaponry, the lightsaber ranks up very high in the FREAKING AWESOME list – along with the BFG 9000 and your very own Metal Gear. But besides having another blade pop out of the handle’s other end, ala Darth Maul, how can a lightsaber be more deadly? The answer lies in this new gameplay video of Suda 51 and Marvelous Interactive’s No More Heroes, and it’s a very awesome answer indeed.

Marvelous Interactive’s No More Heroes for the the Nintendo Wii is certainly shaping up to be something epic, and we get a massive dose of that in this latest gameplay video of the game. If you ever wondered just how far Suda 51 can take lightsaber combat, then it’s in this brief piece of video joy will make you believe.

So, what works better than a single lightsaber? A single lightsaber with four blades. That’s right – it seems that if you upgrade Travis Touchdown’s weapon of choice enough, you’ll be able to have the single blade of energy split up into four separate ones. That’s four times the damage and four times the killing factor. Combine this with Travis’ innate ability to tap into his dark side and unleash one-heat kills that end in bloody showers, and you’ve got something very special. Very, very special indeed.
