No More Heroes: Shinobu Strike, Shinobu Stage and Shinobu Sword gameplay videos
More cel-shaded insanity than a typical cel-shaded Suda 51 protagonist can handle in this gameplay video update of Marvelous Interactive’s No More Heroes for the Nintendo Wii. The last time, we got acquainted with Holly, the shovel-packing, missile-launching babe in the beach. Now we get up close and personal with the katana-wielding Shinobu, and see what tricks she has up her sleeve.
Yes, three more videos to watch, each with a blink-and-you-miss-it time frame. It’s a bit weird, releasing three bite-sized videos of a certain section of gameplay, but it certainly works as far as creating buzz for the game’s concerned.
In these clips, we see Travis in what could be the assassin Shinobu’s stage, with enemies armed with torches and other nasty things out for your blood. Thankfully, you’ve got your lightsaber…er, beam katana with you, so you’lll be doing just fine.
We also see a boss fight in action, with Shinobu pretty much jumping and slashing circles around our hero. She’s pretty fast – fast enough to make Travis resort to blocking. Even then, though, she manages to get a few solid hits in via a very cool display of athleticism and celerity – check out that wall jump.
No More Heroes for the Wii is certainly looking to be something special. Enjoy the videos!
The other videos after the jump!
