No Spring Launch say NVidia?
In a recent statement made by Chief Financial Officer Marv Burkett during a conference call, it seems the continuing swathe of opinion about the PS3 Spring launch slipping is starting to hold true. Marv stated that the RSX chip was finished and in silicon, but NVidia wouldn’t be collecting royalties for it for the first quarter this year up to April. If NVidia isn’t collecting royalties from the RSX up to April, then a Sony spring launch is looking very doubtful. On a positive note, it is important news to hear that the RSX is ready for production and may even already be in production. Like everyone else, I personally hope some sort of news about the PS3 is finally forthcoming because the silence from Sony is almost deafening.
