No to Wii external hard drive, yes to DS headset

the official DS headset - Image 1Whoever said that there is an external hard drive in development for the Wii? Definitely not Nintendo. This is what a Nintendo of Europe spokesperson has confirmed regarding the matter. That such reports were merely “pure rumour and speculation.” So we guess that should be enough to stop those rumors from spreading around. Although we’d have to say that got our hopes up.

Nonetheless, what Nintendo did confirm was that there will be a new DS headset that will be able to fully support online voice chats. And it’s perfect, actually, especially since Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be having online voice chat among players. However, there still is no set date as to the release of this newest DS accessory, though it will most likely be launched along with the Pokemon titles for a price of US$ 14.99.

At least we know for sure it’s coming. Let’s just hope they don’t axe it in the meantime.
