Noir 360: because black will always be cool
Now here’s another mod that we’d like to try out ourselves if we actually had the skills for it.
Over at alcaron‘s blog, he has featured one of his latest projects which he dubbed as the Noir 360. From the name itself and from the pretty pictures that we have here, we can pretty much tell that it’s a black Xbox 360 controller. What makes this particular modification so nice, though, is the fact that it’s very polished work. For one thing, alcaron notes in his entry that he used a type of paint which doesn’t just color the surface of the controller, but actually gets absorbed by the plastic.
Of course, working with a material like this has its hazards, so for a full set of important warnings (should you decide to try this out for yourself) as well as directions on how to do this mod, just hop over to alcaron’s page.
In the meantime, this just proves that Elsa Klensch had gotten it spot on with the whole idea of going down the path of the dark black side.
