Gamers in North America have been pretty much green with envy ever since Square Enix released the Japanese version remake of one of the most memorable RPG series on the PlayStation Portable. Star Ocean: The First Departure and Star Ocean: The Second Evolution revisits the first two titles in the series and buffs them up with several enhanced features on the handheld platform.
North American gamers may not have to wait very long to get their hands on a localized version of both games though. According to Siliconera, online video game rental subscription service Gamefly listed a placeholder release date for both titles on September 30.
While this hasn’t been confirmed from other direct parties like Square Enix when the official release date in other regions will be, it’s always comforting to know that the release for both titles wasn’t as far off as we initially thought.
