North American Virtual Console gets Operation Wolf and Columns III

Taito's Operation Wolf - Image 1Nintendo has announced that at 12 P.M. (PST), Wii owners in North America can expect to get both Operation Wolf for the NES and Columns III: Revenge of Columns for the Sega Genesis on the Virtual Console service.

Operation Wolf is an arcade shooter which was originally released by Taito back in 1987. For those who weren’t able to play this classic, players are given the task of rescuing hostages from a concentration camp. Expect this title to be available for 500 Wii Points.

Sega’s Columns III: Revenge of Columns, came out back in 1994. Similar to the popular Tetris, it has the same addictive gameplay and adds a few solid changes that make it a unique challenge to puzzle gamers. The most distinctive feature of the game is its support for five players, something of a rarity during its time. Expect this gem to be released for 800 Wii points.
