Nostalgia Blast: The Bumper in Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Here’s another rose-tinted update about the highly-anticipated brawler for the Nintendo Wii, courtesy of the Smash Brothers Dojo website – and it’s about an item that dates back from the game’s grandaddy on the Nintendo 64. Yes. it’s that thing that made bouncing pinballs out of your opponents, the Bumper from Super Smash Brothers 64.
Okay, so the Bumper bounces away any character it comes in contact with once you’ve set it on the ground, right? This time around, not only can you set it on the floor anywhere on the level you’re brawling in, you can also set it in midair.
This not only doubles the bumper’s combat utility as an effective ledge guard, but also one that prevents players from using the air recovery technique to try and jump up from an otherwise fatal, out-of-bounds fall.
Sneaky? Yes. Underhanded? Probably. Tons of fun and hilarity as you see your own buddies try to reach the ledge, but get knocked back instead? Definitely.
These updates just keep on getting better and better, don’t they? Updates as they come, so keep it locked right here for more info about Super Smash Brothers Brawl!
