Japan already has more Pokemon memorabilia that I can fit into a supersized Poke Ball, and no one’s probably ever caught them all, but that’s not stopping Nintendo from thinking up new ways to market other products with the brand. Other electric type Pokemon will be wrapped around their own variants of the Maxell battery line – Pikachu just happens to play coverboy covergirl for the packaging.

Just like a few games due next month, the Pokemon batteries will be launched in Japan on May 25th.
