Now Wii can all play together

Nintendo just released more information on the game that aims to unite Wii gamers when it’s released for the next generation console on December 8th. As you may already know from past QJ-coverages on the famous Wii Play, the game’s a selection of nine very different mini-games inside one disk, all of which have been designed to help you master the unique Wii Remote. Also, to ensure you can enjoy Wii Play with your friends, the game comes bundled with a free Wii Remote providing hours of entertainment.

Of course, we here at QJ wouldn’t leave you hanging as to what mini games are on Wii Play, so here’s a rundown of pretty much all you need to know about the game. The first, and possibly most retro mini game is Shooting Range, a game reminiscent of the classic Duck Hunt NES title. In order to unlock the next game the player simply needs to complete the previous one, starting with Shooting Range. When all of the games have been unlocked players can start earning medals for their performance.

The next game, Find Mii, involves picking the right face out of a crowd in an environment that constantly changes – itÂ’s a race against the clock! Other games included are: Charge, where players have to hold onto a rampaging bull and try not to fall off. Players steer their bull and make it jump by moving the Wii Remote in the right direction, attempting to knock over scarecrows on the way. Tanks, which also makes use of the Nunchuk controller, tests a playerÂ’s strategic skills encouraging them to leave trails of mines for other tanks to stumble across. We must admit, this game seems like a lot of fun and lets you learn how to use the Wiimote too!

Even though Reggie won’t give us a proper release date for Wii Play in the US, Nintendo Europe have today announced that it will hit European stores on December 8th at a price of €49 (US$ 62), so expect Wii Play to come to North America some time before that.
