Oblivion Listed for PS3 Again?

Maybe these retail stores have not yet been informed about this so they haven’t taken that announcement down.

Or maybe there’s some truth to this rumor that’s why it just won’t go away. I’m talking about Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion here.

It was rumored before that this game might also be coming to Sony‘s PS3 and PSP. But that rumor died when Bethesda Softworks stated that they were not planning to bring Oblivion to any other platform – that it will only stay with the PC and the Xbox 360.

But if that’s really the case, why is Gamestop announcing Oblivion’s release date FOR THE PS3? The game’s being scheduled for a November 6, 2006 shipping, and it clearly states that this role-playing game is for Sony’s next-gen console.

I might be assuming all the wrong things here, seeing that Gamestop has no page for the PC version of Oblivion, so this one might be a misprint. But come on! They wouldn’t be blatantly saying it’s “the quintessential RPG for the next generation” if they didn’t mean it was for the PS3, right?

Have a look at it yourself and think about whether this is genuine or not. After all, it wouldn’t be so bad if the PS3 gets Bethesda’s game (that’s an understatement I suppose).
