Obsidian: Sex scenes in Alpha Protocol are “satisfying” and “tasteful”
Developer Obsidian has said that while the upcoming action-RPG Alpha Protocol (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) does indeed have some naughty bits (read: sex) in it, all of the scenes are both satisfying and tasteful. Also, similar to the one in BioWare‘s Mass Effect, there will be no gameplay involved in the game’s sex scenes. No full-frontal nudity either.
Developer Obsidian has said that while the upcoming action-RPG Alpha Protocol (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) does indeed have some naughty bits (read: sex) in it, all of the scenes are both satisfying and tasteful.
Also, similar to the one in Mass Effect (Xbox 360, PC), there will be no gameplay involved in the game’s sex scenes. No full-frontal nudity either. Here’s what Obsidian programming producer Nathan Davis said to VideoGamer:
No, itÂ’s tasteful. We do some things with our cinematics, too. It isnÂ’t just like a hand up on a thing! We cut around it a little bit. ItÂ’s an American game! What can I say? There are limits to what we can do there. IÂ’ve seen a few of the cinematics for those and it ends up being satisfying without beingÂ… you knowÂ… overÂ… you know?
The sex scenes in question (yes, plural, since players can choose to engage in physical relations with several key NPCs) will still be an integral part of gameplay, though, as they can affect the game’s various endings. It’s just that they won’t be God of War-like minigames.
