Official Replacement Wii Sensor Bars Being Sold
Nintendo of Japan has just recently put up some Wii sensor bars on their shopping website for a price of 1,785 yen (~$15). However, it seems that the US Nintendo Online Store is selling the Wii sensor bar upon a second glance and it retails for $10! We’ve seen Nintendo issue replacement straps for free to those who fell victim to the “poor” design of the straps, however we have not seen any reports of sensor bars flying or breaking while playing any game as the cords are usually tucked behind the TV set.
So if you have broken your original sensor bar somehow or are just looking for a new bar that would eliminate the transportation hassle to several TV’s, then it might be a wise idea to invest in a brand new one, or forget about the wires all together and go buy a wireless one for $20 than the official wired one.
