OFLC rates Namco’s TurboGrafx classic Samurai Ghost
We recently did a search at the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) online database for classic titles that could possibly be made available to our counterparts in Australia through Nintendo‘s Virtual Console.
Interestingly, we found an entry called Samurai Ghost. Maybe a lot of you are not familiar with this game so let us give you a short primer on it. Samurai Ghost was created by Namco back in 1992 for the PC Engine (TurboGrafx-16). It is a side-scrolling adventure game.
Players take control of an undead hero who is seeking revenge against demons and other mystical monsters. Since your character is a ninja, and a ghostly one if we may add, attacks will be both melee-based and energy-based.
A few of the supernatural abilities available to your character include levitation and walking on water. OFLC gave it a rating of PG for mild horror themes and some violence. Samurai Ghost is a great game alright, but we still have to wait for an official confirmation from Nintendo.
