OFLC revealed Virtual Console launch titles?
Oftentimes, we view the ratings board as a means to restrict content. The ESRB, for example, has always been the object of criticisms and controversies, its Australian counterpart though – the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC), might have just done something that deserves a high five from the gamers from the land down under.
Apparently, the following Virtual Console titles have already been rated and set for launch: Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Pinball, Super Mario World, F-Zero and Sim City. Also, after a bit of looking around, it seems that New Rally-X from Bandai Namco Games is a VC launch title as well.
All above mentioned games received a G for General rating, which is the equivalent of an E rating by the ESRB. The Virtual Console is a videogame download service that features titles from past Nintendo consoles. It may also be used to get new original content, much like Xbox’s Marketplace.
