OH. SNAP. Penny Arcade responds to Tretton’s proposal
Hot on the heels of the latest news tidbit spreading across the internet, Penny Arcade‘s Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins opted to make a comic reflecting the… is there even a remotely journalistic term for “Oh snap?”
Yesterday, a host of different gaming blogs reported on EGM‘s latest issue, in which Sony‘s Jack Tretton defended the PS3. In this interview with EGM, everyone took notice of one of Tretton’s statements , which said, “If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that’s been on shelves for more than five minutes, I’ll give you 1,200 bucks for it.”
EGM mentions that the interview was done in early January, however, so if anyone wanted to actually claim that much money from Mr. Tretton, they’d have to get photographic evidence of unsold PS3s during the timeframe the interview was pegged in.
Enter Penny Arcade’s biting wit. The above is a portion of the latest comic written by the PA pair, which would hypothetically make them US$ 13,200 richer. As we said in the previous article, expect Tretton’s comment to get its proper spin (from the other side of the fence) very soon. For now, feel free to leave a comment and visit Penny Arcade’s latest comic.
