On Shelves This Week: April 12 to 18, 2009

On Shelves This Week - Image 1If you thought last week was a ho-hum time for game releases, then there’s really no other way but to describe this week of April 12 to 18 as worse.  There are a couple of bright spots here and there, however, so you might as well check out the list anyway. You know, just in case something catches your fancy.

Thank God for the PC releases this week – they seem to be the only good ones coming out.
Am personally looking at Still Life 2. I think the premise is very promising for that one. Although C.O.R.E. is intriguing, too, I’d have to say. Anyway, you go ahead make your own pick.

C.O.R.E. - Image 1C.O.R.E – is a first-person shooter for the Nintendo DS, set in the year 2050. You play the role of a U.S. Marine exploring an underground laboratory. As it turns out, the lab complex was built for research on the effects of a meteor that crash-landed on the Mojave Desert years ago. This game will have single card play, but will also make local multiplayer available. No online multiplayer for you, though.
