On the clear percentage for Super Smash Bros. Brawl
The Subspace Emissary mode for Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl is filled with lots of secrets, which range from hidden doors to special treasure items. Today’s nifty hint from the Smash Bros. Dojo talks about this in depth as a quick guide to achieving the highest clear percentage possible.
Those of you who’ve heard about Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s Subspace Emissary mode may want to sit down for this next Dojo update we’ve managed to find. It talks about the clear percentage one has in the game, and discusses the many ways players can tackle the game in order to grab the elusive 100% clear percentage.
The folks over at the Dojo have four tips to give players who want to reach 100%:
- Check everywhere. By this, they mean open all the obvious and not-so-obvious doors in a level so you can visit the entirety of a stage.
- Clear the stages: The most basic way of upping your clear % is to clear a stage. It’d be better if you uncovered everything in a level to raise the clear % higher, but just getting past a stage is good enough to bump up the number.
- Grab Orange Cube Items: These orange cubes contain rare items that increase one’s clear percentage. Finding the boxes and getting the treasures is another way of increasing your clear %.
- Get Character Trophies: While the Dojo wasn’t clear about them, you can be sure that grabbing a character trophy will net you some points towards that clear percentage.
Upon clearing a stage, the cleared stage will be represented by either a crown or a flag. While a crown means you’ve picked up everything there is to get in a certain stage, the flag indicates that you’ve missed something and should probably go hunting for more of the hidden goodies mentioned above.
