Overlord is the new Sephiroth! Nibelheim revisited
Sorry, kids. That’s not Sephiroth. The screen above looks reminiscent of the classic Nibelheim cinematic though, we’ll give it that. Plus, we’re hearing a choir singing “Estuans interius/Ira vehementi/SEPHIROTH!” in the background when we look at these pics. Might be a rip off for some, but in the same way that the GoW map pack did a Mako Reactor, we’re not complaining about Overlord (360 and PC) at all!
For the love of all things FFVII, Overlord is looking fantastic. In a game that lets you be your own one-winged angel (with your own horde of Minions to boot), Codemasters pretty much got the wickedness aspect down pat. Besides, deep down inside, everyone wants to have “UNLIMITED POWAH,” and this game makes things easy for you, action-adventure style. Sorry, no platinum-haired bio-engineered baddies here. It’s just raw power…
“Veni, veni, venias/Ne me mori facias…”
