Pachter: Call of Duty can’t make a repeat of high-grossing 2009 performance

call-of-duty-logoMichael Pachter does not think that the Call of Duty franchise can make a repeat of its mind-boggling 2009 performance this year when Activision’s holiday fiscal report comes out later this week. He reckons it’s going to reflect a “sharply lower revenue.”

By “sharply lower” he means US$ 250 million less. Don’t feel too bad for good ol’ Activision, though. They’re still set to rake in the dough, what with the upcoming release of the highly-anticipated StarCraft II.

 

Even with the probable US$ 250 million loss of Activision, they’ve got billions stashed away anyway, so I doubt that’s even going to put a dent in their bank account.
