If you want to check out the item first before deciding whether or not you will ultimately purchase it, then you may just check out the free sample clips available as a download on a rental basis.
The Wii no Ma ad-supported video on demand channel has been launched in Japan back in May, but it was only this weekend that it opened it up for paid video downloads. The application is also accessible via the DSi, and offers both original programming and advertising and marketing channels for their partner networks.
Satoru Iwata has implied that an international launch may be close at hand, saying that it “is under planning in the future.”
