Painkiller mod: get an Overdose with screenshots, character art, teaser trailer
Remember that 2004 first person shooter for the PC called PainKiller? The one where we got to explore Purgatory and Hell (where nearly everything was out to get us)? Well, we got a teaser trailer for a community-created mod to be released by Mindware Studios called Overdose.
The Overdose teaser trailer gets our attention with the beating heart… and the unidentified growling. You’re running in the rain, it’s pitch black, and there are things everywhere. We think it’s safe to assume that they’re out to get you, too. Afterwards, it gets pretty crazy with the guns and all. The character art are well, creepy: Frankenstein gets an upgrade, an old guy with a spear skewered with a broken spear, and two not-so-innocent looking (twisted looking, in fact) altar boys. There are also a couple of screenshots to get a good look at the locations and enemies. Thus far, they are looking sweet.
Anyway, we won’t ruin all the fun for you. So far, this is all we have on the PC mod but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info on this one. In the meantime, enjoy the video.
The character art and screenshots await after the jump!
