Panasonic Releasing BD Player In September – Price Below $1500, 1080p Plasma Following

Panasonic America has announced that they will be selling the Blu-ray Disc Player “DMP-BD10” in September. The price is not decided yet, but is said to be lower than $1,500 USD.

This product will support BD-ROM Dual Layer, and play HD video/audio recorded on the BD disc. DVD/CD playback is also supported. HDAVI (Viera Link) is also mounted, thus making it possible to use only one remote controller to control this device together with the AV amp and plasma from the same company.

With the slated 1080p full HD resolution plasma TV, the HD contents on Blu-ray discs will be fully brought into play by that time.
