Patapon 3 incoming, demo next week

Pata, Pata, Pata, Pon… Yes folks, Patapon 3 is indeed real! Announced at Sony’s E3 conference, the third installment of the innovative, rythm-based 2D action game is coming back to it’s portable roots.

In the latest outing, a new Superhero Patapon will be introduced “that players can use to head into musical battle, devastating opponents with deadly, rhythmic attacks. Players will go on multiplayer Quest with friends or go head-to-head on an epic four-against-four battle against other Patapon clans with network play (up to eight players). Patapon is a fully customizable experience, with different weapons and abilities that combine music and dance to create the only multiplayer portable adventure full of rhythm and war.”

What’s more, it seems like Sony is already prepping for a multiplayer demo of the game. As shown at the end of the trailer, it will be available on PlayStation Store starting next week until July 12th. Developed by the same folks at Pyramid and SCE Japan Studio, Patapon 3 will be released this Autumn for the PSP.
