PAX 2007: Mass Effect developer interview
When BioWare folks, creators of award-winning RPGs (Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) say their next video game will take the genre up a notch, it’s hard not to be optimistic. In this video, Community Manager Jay Watamaniuk tells us what’s new with the upcoming Xbox 360 title, Mass Effect.
Among major changes he discussed about the Mass Effect‘s combat aspect seems to have received the biggest makeover. Gone are the slow turn-based battles to welcome fast paced combat that fully integrates RPG elements.
BioWare’s games always allowed players to choose their own moral paths, but there will be more choices this time around as Mass Effect has all the freedom of an M-rated title. Other features received tweaks, but being able to create your character’s face takes the cake.
While you wait for the video game’s November 20 release, spend some time watching the video interview below, uploaded by Steve519.
