Perfect Dark has got some big news for you Half-Life 2 fans out there: Beta 1.0 is already out! For those of you not in the know, Perfect Dark is actually a mod for Valve Corporation‘s Half-Life 2.

And as the release of Beta 1.0 is such a big deal, it just had to be celebrated. So to do just that, the team changed certain hosts and updated the website a well. Also, you’ll be finding some more new tricks such as automatic refresh of the svn log, an mp3 player, flash gallery, a new video showing off the predator effect, automatic language detection, and more.

Now as for the release itself, the developers basically focused hard on reducing the bugs to a minimum, apart from making those little details count as much as possible. So, it is their hope that you guys will be able to go find some more bugs for them to squish to ensure a more enjoyable run of their Beta 1.0.
