Sony Computere Entertainment Korea has announced that they will be releasing the “Personal Utility Disc” (PUD) for PSP users on February 16. The PUD is a multi-purpose digital contents support software collection. This disc is an upgrade of the enclosed “Network Utility Disc” in Korean PSP packages.

The PUD consists of 3 functions:

  • PSP Online

The online service offered through the web browser and the infrastructure ability of the PSP. The service will be offering media streaming including movie, music, e-book, comic and educational contents, by NetSpot.

  • Contents Viewer

View the e-books, comics and web clips saved in the memory stick.

  • Dosirak Player

The music player for accessing “Dosirak” online music service.

Personally, I think this will be Korea-exclusive software, since itÂ’s largely relying other service providers on contents. So no need to put up too much hope on this.

Thanks to Eric of the news hint!
