phone SE 4 rumored to have FaceID, OLED screen in large redesign
The iPhone SE is the final model to feature Touch ID rather than Face ID.
Last updated 20 minutes agoA rumor claims that Apple’s budget friendly iPhone SE will undergo a major redesign in its fourth version, and also be priced higher. Apple’s iPhone SE is known as its budget-friendly model. It is also the only iPhone available to those who prefer Touch ID to Face ID. According to a new rumor, Ice Universe, an experienced leaker, this is about to change. The new model will have a 6.06-inch OLED display with a Face ID notch. This marks the official end of Touch ID on iPhone. The design is expected be similar to that of the iPhone 14. It would have Apple’s A18 processor and either 8GB or 6GB of RAM. It would have only one camera, but it would be upgraded from the 12 megapixels of the third-generation iPhone SE to a 48 megapixel camera. It’s not surprising that the leaker claims the price will increase with such upgrades. The 64 GB iPhone SE 3 costs $429. The base model of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 is likely to start at $499, and the model with the largest storage could cost as much as $549. This is a significant price increase for those who are looking for an affordable iPhone. Recent rumors suggested that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a design similar to the iPhone 16 and not the iPhone 14. The rumor was not clear on whether the iPhone SE 4 would be launched alongside the iPhone 16 or not. According to a post on Weibo, the iPhone SE 4 will be released in Spring 2025.
