When Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert said the PSP version of PixelJunk Monsters would contain “50% more content”, he wasn’t kidding. For PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe they’re cramming in content from Monsters, the Encore expansion pack, and the brand new Gati Gati Island.

The new island will have ten new stages, new enemies, and new music tracks. There will also be two new towers – the Gem Tower and the Trap Tower – that can be used in the classic stages and a new boss. Players can also go online via ad-hoc and infrastructure modes.

In lieu of Trophy support, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe will instead have a “Medal Challenge” mode similar to the PS3’s Trophy system. Getting Medals will net players access to unlockable videos, artwork, and the like.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe is due out this fall.
